AESTHETIC

FACET

The purpose of a veneer is to improve the aesthetics of one or more teeth, among other things by changing its color, shape or slightly changing its position. In some cases, it can be used to close a space between two teeth. The veneer is in fact a small shell of porcelain or composite that covers only the front and tip of the tooth. The purpose of the veneer is only aesthetic and therefore does not aim to correct the masticatory function or restore strength to a tooth. A crown would then be used instead when faced with such a problem.

CROWNS

A crown is used to consolidate and protect a tooth that has deteriorated after a large filling due to significant decay or a minor fracture. It completely covers the tooth and is made of ceramic, zirconia or metal. Made in two sessions, during the first, the dentist prepares the tooth and takes an impression that he sends to the laboratory. The patient receives a temporary crown. During the second session, the dentist fixes the permanent crown, checks comfort and satisfaction. Once cemented, the tooth regains its aesthetics and function.

BRIDGES

In the event that one or more teeth are missing from your mouth, it is important to replace them to maintain good chewing capacity and avoid overloading the remaining teeth. The fixed bridge is a solution to replace one or more teeth. It consists of a structure fixed to the neighboring teeth called abutment teeth. Your dentist must first ensure that the teeth on which the bridge is fixed are healthy and strong enough to support it. The fixed bridge restores both the aesthetics and the chewing function of your dentition.

TEETH WHITENING

Teeth whitening is a great way to give your teeth an extra sparkle. Before whitening, it is essential that your dentist examines your mouth to ensure the health of your teeth and that there are no cavities. Custom-made trays will be made to allow for the treatment, which will last for one to two weeks. Touch-ups can be done as needed over the next few months or years if necessary, to maintain the whitening results and ensure a long-lasting, bright smile.

PARTIAL DENTURE

A partial denture is a removable prosthesis that replaces one or more teeth. It consists of a metal structure that rests on the remaining natural teeth, covered with acrylic. Regular wear of your partial denture is crucial. Not wearing it for a week or two can lead to complications. Among its benefits, it improves digestion by helping to chew food properly. It also protects your gums from injury and infection. In the long term, the denture prevents the migration of natural teeth into the edentulous area and slows down the recession of the jaw bone.

COMPLETE PROSTHESIS

A complete denture is a removable appliance that replaces all the teeth in a dental arch and must be removed at bedtime. Made with an acrylic structure, it allows the patient to choose the position, shape and color of the teeth for a natural effect. Wearing a complete denture offers many benefits: increased self-esteem, better oral health, prevention of premature sagging of facial muscles, easier speech and improved chewing of food.
